Terms of use

Last updated 24 Oct 2026

By using Marsad you agree to these terms. Marsad is built for research; these terms protect researchers and the people whose posts appear in the data.

Your account

  • You are responsible for keeping your password secret and for everything done in your account and workspace.
  • You invite team members and set their roles, and you are responsible for those invitations.

Acceptable use

  • Use Marsad for legitimate research or teaching.
  • Follow the terms of each platform you collect from, and your institution's ethics approvals.
  • Do not use it to monitor, harass or target specific individuals, or to collect sensitive data without a lawful basis.
  • Do not try to get around security limits or reach other people's workspaces.

Your keys and costs

Collection and analysis run on your own keys with other services, and any charges those services make are billed to your account with them. Marsad shows estimated costs and sets limits, but it does not guarantee those services' prices.

Results

Machine labels (such as sentiment) are a model's estimate, not fact. Marsad lets you measure their accuracy with human coding; interpreting and publishing results remains the researcher's responsibility.

Your content

Your data and results are yours. We claim no rights in them and process them only to provide the service, as described in the privacy policy.

Availability and changes

Marsad is under development; features may change or be briefly unavailable. We take care not to lose data, and recommend exporting copies of your work. We may update these terms and will announce important changes in the app.

Suspension

We may suspend accounts that break these terms. You can delete your projects or ask us to delete your account at any time.

Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia.
